What have your experiences been with social justice and advocacy in our community?
What would you like to see happen differently?
Join PFLAG Las Cruces in the conversation for our next Rainbow Hub event on August 23, 2018 at 6pm at Peace Lutheran Church (1701 Missouri Avenue).
Hello, PFLAG Family,
The Las Cruces Community Theatre, from August 10-26 (Fri. & Sat. 7:30pm; Sun. 2pm), is putting on The Laramie Project. The Laramie Project (2000) by Moisés Kaufman and The Tectonic Theater Project is the story of the reaction to the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyoming.
In the play, eight actors play 60+ roles in vignettes based on interviews with people in Laramie, journal entries written by the cast, and news reports.
A portion of the ticket sales on opening night, August 10, benefits Southern New Mexico Pride as they work toward hosting this year’s Fall Fest.
We hope to see you Friday at 7:30pm, but if not, be sure to catch The Laramie Project on one of the other nights in the run.
It’s time to update your address books because PFLAG Las Cruces has a new P. O. Box number. Ready?

At our annual fundraiser in 2017, we premiered a video, Telling Our Stories, about experiences of being part of or an ally to the LGBTQ+ community in Las Cruces. That video showed snippets of each person’s interview. Here’s the full length cut of our interview with Sue.
Thanks to Palamora Productions for the video.
